Moderator-Elect, then Moderator — Elected by District Conference
Position spans 2 years, District Conference Business Meeting to Business Meeting
- (1) First year as Moderator-Elect
- Serve as one of 5 District Conference Officers
 - Work with the other District Conference Officers to prepare an agenda for the Business Meeting
 - Chair the Nominating Committee
 - Voting member of the District Conference Program Committee
 - Voting member of the Policy Board
 - Voting member of the Executive Board
 - Moderator can ask the Moderator-Elect to be their representative on a commission or committee
 - Optional: Can serve on a commission or committee
 
 - (2) Second year as Moderator
- Serve as one of 5 District Conference Officers
 - Work with the other District Conference Officers to prepare an agenda for the Business Meeting
 - Appoint assistants for the Business Meeting
- Parliamentarian, Tellers, Timekeeper, Committee to Review the District Conference Minutes, etc.
 
 - Chair of the District Conference Program Committee
- Present District Conference theme and logo at the beginning of the year.
 - Prepare several items for November’s District Conference Business Book
 
 - Voting member of the Nominating Committee
 - Voting member of the Policy Board
- Convene the first Policy Board meeting on Sunday morning of District Conference and chair the re-organization portion of the meeting.
 
 - Voting member of the Executive Board
 - Voting ex-officio member of all commissions, committees, etc. of the district.
- Moderator can ask the Moderator-Elect to be their representative on a commission or committee
